Camron Lodge by Mountain Vacation Lodging is a custom built log home, sitting at 11,465ft, that truly checks all the boxes. Enjoy sensational views of Quandary Peak and the Continental Divide from every window and the wraparound deck. Interior features include vaulted ceilings, exquisite woodwork, and high-end finishes to complement the breathtaking views. This home feels worlds away, but is only 12 miles from Breckenridge. It has a spacious floorplan that includes 3 large bedroom suites, a bunk bedroom, a great room, a rec room, and a bonus room. Outdoor spaces include that large wraparound deck, 2 upper level balconies, plus the lower level patio and yard. You can relax in the private outdoor hot tub. Hiking and recreation abounds all around, but simply spending time at this home is a real treat. Read on for more details.
The Property:
Camron Lodge is a large home, with 3 levels and over 4500 square feet. Check out the 3D tour to get a feel for the space. You enter on the main level, which includes a large bedroom suite, the great room, dining room, kitchen, and a deck that wraps around 3 sides of the home. The main level also includes a powder room, two entry areas, laundry, and a truly oversized garage. The kitchen, living room, and dining room flow together nicely. In the living room, the beautiful craftsmanship of this log home is on display. The massive center windows redefine the term "floor to ceiling" by truly starting at the floor and really bring the outdoors in. The massive log beams, hardwood floors, leather furniture, large HDTV, and stone fireplace make this a warm, inviting space. The kitchen is everything you could want. It has two sinks, a fridge with filtered water and ice, a beautiful gas range and oven with hood, as well as an island with barstools. It is large and fully equipped with everything you need to prepare gourmet meals. The dining room seats 8 comfortably and has access to the side of the wraparound deck which includes the gas grill and an outdoor dining table. The powder room opens to the kitchen as well as the foyer which improves access and flow on this main level.
On the west side of the main level is Bedroom 1. This main level bedroom suite includes a plush King bed, matching bedside tables, direct access to the deck, and a walk in closet. It's private bathroom has dual sinks, and the shower is a steam shower with dual heads and a bench. The upper level of the home has a landing that overlooks the great room. Bedrooms 2 and 3 are on opposite sides of this landing, creating privacy and a nice separation of spaces. Bedrooms 2 and 3 both have a Queen bed, vaulted ceilings, and a private balcony with incredible views. They each have their own private bathrooms which feature large vanities with stone counters as well as a bathtub and shower. Bedroom 4 is on the lower level. It is a large room that easily accommodates two bunk beds, with room to spare. The bunk beds are Twin beds over Double beds, so you have 2 Twins and 2 Double, making this room ideal for singles, kids, or even couples. The fourth full bathroom is just outside this bedroom, easy to access from the lower level's rec room.
The lower level rec room is a secondary living room with some great features. On one side of the room, you have a wet bar for serving drinks or apps as well as an HDTV with surround sound. Two full size sofas are positioned nicely to enjoy this home theater setup. On the other side of the lower living room is a table that is ideal for cards or board games. Right in the middle of the room are double doors that open to the patio, hot tub, and yard. Don't forget about the bonus room! This additional space is above the garage. A stairway between the kitchen and garage leads up to this space, which is very private and quiet. With a large desk and chair, it makes a great home office, and also has some armchairs, in case any kids or adults need a private place to relax.
Location:
The Camron Lodge is located 12 miles south of Breckenridge. It is very close to many trails and trailheads, including Quandary Peak, which is one of Colorado's "14ers." This location requires you to have your own vehicles, and we strongly recommend 4 wheel drive or all wheel drive vehicles with good tires year round, in all seasons. Keep in mind that this home is located at nearly 11,000 feet in elevation, so snowy icy road conditions are common, and snow showers possible even in summer. The neighborhood is just off highway 9, which is paved, plowed, well maintained. The neighborhood roads are dirt roads, and there are multiple switchbacks between highway 9 and the Camron Lodge.
Arrival, Access, and Parking:
Once you book, we're here to support you. We offer professional concierge services, provide you with arrival instructions, and answers to any specific questions you might have. Accessing this property requires only 1-2 steps to enter the main (middle) level. Parking is no problem here. The 2 car garage is oversized, and there is outdoor parking for more vehicles. Trailers are possible but not recommended, particularly from October through April, given the possibility of adverse road conditions and the roads leading to the home.

** Please note that the town of Breckenridge is around 10,000 feet in elevation and this home sits at over 11,000 feet. If this is your first time visiting this altitude, please be aware of the symptoms of altitude sickness and how to avoid it. In general, staying very hydrated, avoiding alcohol, taking OTC headache medicines and supplementing with oxygen cans when necessary, can help to alleviate symptoms you might experience. If you live at a low elevation, it is suggested that you spend one or more nights in Denver or somewhere with a similar altitude (around 5000 feet) to acclimate, prior to coming up to Breckenridge.**
** The home is located off of a well maintained dirt road, but there are steep curves and ice, snow, or rain will cause problems for 2wd cars, especially those with rear wheel drive. Four Wheel Drive or All Wheel Drive plus tires with good tread are strongly recommended and may be required anytime snow or rain are possible. Chains may be required to access this property during or immediately following snowstorms. **
